The summit of the trek perches up to an elevation of around 5,400 ft. Kalsubai trek attracts a lot of visitors especially during monsoon and winters because the climate becomes soothing and the wildlife also takes a colorful turn during these months.

History: 

Kalsubai, according to local legend, was the name of a tormented daughter-in-law who ran away to the top of a hill to escape harassment from her in-laws. She is believed to have disappeared here and the locals built a temple in her memory on the peak’s summit. The hill is named Kalsubai after her.

Accessibility: 

Igatpuri is the Nearest Town to Bari (Base village). Igatpuri is 40 km from Bari. Road connectivity is there from Igatpuri to Bari. There is no railway station near to Bari in less than 10 km. However, there are railway Stations from Near By town Igatpuri. are the railway Stations near to Igatpuri. You can reach from Igatpuri to Bari by road after.

The Kalsubai trek offers views of many famous forts like Alang, Madan, and Kulang. The treks to these peaks are pretty challenging. On a clear day, you also get imposing views of other surrounding forts such as Harihargad, Harishchandragad, and Ratangad. Many experienced trekkers combine these treks for added adventure.The Kalsubai trek is also a very popular night trek. Trekkers flock here for the brilliant views of the sunrise!
